new benharper.com!

after the october launch of the revised ben harper site with community interaction and the latest primedrupal drupal ajax framework, this launch about a month later includes a full on assault of archive materials (over 6 thousand tour photos alone!)-- the full gigography with setlists from ben's entire career, plus full album streaming, user playlists, contests and more!

oh yeah, it also is our first site to feature facebook connect integration which is mighty handy now that almost everyone has a facebook account. try it out!

davematthewsband.com launch

it's been a while coming but the phase 1 launch of the new www.davematthewsband.com site has arrived! another PROD/Chime drupal / flash hybrid site, this one has a whole lot of music under its hood so make sure you click on that note icon and take a listen. phase 1 is basic functionality and we have some exciting community components planned for phase 2. can't tell you much more than that for now!

disable pathauto's default behaviour to recompute pathalias on every node edit

i don't know about you, but on sites where i set custom pathaliases for page nodes it becomes a problem when the site is handed off to someone else to admin and then forget to uncheck that box so the custom pathalias gets lost and links to that page then go 404. since i want to have root-level pathaliases, it's not easy to control via the standard pathauto settings.

beastie boys site launch

we're stoked to announce the launch of the new mini site for the beastie boys' 20th anniversary re-mastered release of paul's boutique! a sick flash front end (kudos as always to PROD) to a drupal core. lots of stuff hidden on a page. go upload your paul's boutique era photo and story to the site and pick up your embeddable trading card today!

nhl all-star fan balloting site launch

the 3rd in our series of voting sites for the NHL just launched. it was a rather crazy build up to the last minute but has some very cool features in it. check out the clean design PROD did and then witness the sweet hybrid of nice design + drupal + custom jquery on the vote page. it even includes some nice autocomplete. behind the scenes it combines mobile voting stats that come in via nhl's mobile partner. don't forget the whizbangery widget to share your voting ballot with friends.

form_store ported to drupal 6

username_hide module - a simple way to remove username and just use email addresses for accounts

so the NHL folks wanted to only have an email address field in registration. i didn't want to hack up core so came up with this super simple module that hides the username field on the register page and then behind the scenes assigns the username value to whatever the email address is set to.
